Default Wheel/Tire Advice

Do [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_26_57/products_id/20888]these[/link] fit with [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/products_id/4793]Zombies[/link]?

Also, do I need hex adapters and what kind?

These will be going on a Revo 2.5R, any experience with the combination?

hey dude you trying to copy my [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_7553907/anchors_7553907/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#7553907]thread?[/link]thread?

haha jk bro...uhm those should fit ..also i think (not 100% sure) those wheels are 17mm..so yes, get 17mm conversions like [link=http://www.impaktrc.com/product_info.php?products_id=524]these[/link], which are great. havent stripped on me yet....or you could go aluminium conversion which = $$$

Sry but those are LPR series wheels, not MT size. The wheels are bigger like 40 series not as wide. Here's a pic with a set of LPR series wheels on the end. The Zombie's are next to the revo stockers. You see the diffrence?

Well there aren't any tires that will fit those wheels other then pin style tires. But [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_26_57/products_id/7491]these[/link] are basically the same style but MT sze, so you can use the Zombie's with these. You will also need to buy 17mm adapters.

Well I have no problem running a pin style tire as long as it is a good all around tire (from sand to grass to pavement to hard dirt).

Well any pin style tire won't last very long on pavement. Take a look at this thread and scroll down to Pecanpatch's Revo. He's running the wheels you want with bowtie's.

Well I could run the stock Revo tires on the pavement.

Will the bowties prevent wear on pavement?

What is the exact name of the tire? (knowing me I'll order the wrong thing...)

WAIT! I think I ust saw that Jconcepts made a MT size rulux. So you can just run the zombies instead.

Offset makes the wheels stand out wider. So you get a wider stance. For example, this is somebody's revo with 1/2 offsetnot mine)

Hmm, well I think I'll go with the Rulux MT wheels and Zombies for the rubber. I'm not doing the offset as I am fine with my "unstable" Revo lol. I already have sway bars and see no reason for a wider stance, maybe when I have extra cash or something. Thanks for the advice NitroVenom. You have helped me a lot the past few days. Makes me wonder where I would be had I not stumbled on this forum...

P.S. What is up with you and having Pepsi in all you pics? lol (referring to first pic posted in this thread)

LOL Yea the diet pepsi is just what my parents drink all the time, they buy it by the case and usually leave it out. Somehow I always end up taking pics and the pepsi is always in the backround.. I'll be taking some higher quality shots from now on and without the pepsi in the backround

I remember commenting on the "Ninja" Pepsi bottles always in his pics way back when. Funny stuff. Nitrovenom is very helpful. The unviverse (RCU) is a better place for having him.

Ok, I am having second thoughts about my combo... I kinda want the low profile look and I don't think the Zombies will achieve that. Any other tire suggestions for something that will run on lots of stuff (primarily dirt/sand and pavement as well as grass) as well as last for a long time?

Oh, and do the offset rims require anything special?

Offset doesn't require anything. The Zombies are a beefy tire. How about mashers? There basically the most traditional style tire for monster trucks. [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_26_58/products_id/21338]Mashers.[/link]

Slop I know you already know about this thread but I have and others have posted some good links to where you can see all the rims and tires.

I do know about that thread as I have been posting in it. Thing is it's mostly on filters and rims, not so much tires.

I'm not crazy about the Mashers or any other tractor tire because I just don't see them working well on pavement, my brother has them on his T-Maxx. How do the Badlands hold up and/or work on my surfaces?
