Impulse buying from the 'Bay...
New built, never ran... looks like once I get it, I will have to take it apart and make it a "reverse" build-thread.. LOL!
(nah, more like I need to take it apart to fit all the ball bearings!)
Pics from the seller..

So this kit was around when I just started my RC journey years ago.. (for reference, Frog is kit #41, Hornet is kit #45)
My first hobby grade RC was The Hornet, so this kit is definitely in the same era.. an era when things are still ultra scale..
Sure, the performance will suck compare to modern buggies, but I guess I am not buying it for the sake of performance... (as usual!)

I could've had a FAV for $20 back around Labor Day. A guy in my flying club was liquidating his plane and car inventory......I didn't have any cash on me[].

Wild One was released in 1985, I believe...
I think if I do run it (it is a new built, shelf queen! not sure if I should run it or not!! ), at most I'd run is the Sport Tune motor!

Probably not much support.. pretty much just eBay..
But they are generally well built enough that they last quite well. I don't plan on running anything high power on it, so... at most a Sport Tune, probably!

TamiyaClub, as usual, an awesome resource for Tamiya related stuff. Here's a page for all the comments / analysis on the Wild One!

How do they get the lettering to show up in yellow on the tires? I've seen the white-out trick for insert letters in plastic parts, but the tire lettering is usually outset (is that a word?), where the letters are raised above the surface of the sidewall. Must be tough to paint...looks outstanding though.
