They not only float, but they can actually swim.....I was able to bring it to shore by working the ailerons and steering with the rudder. Well, almost to shore...the radio quit working about 10 feet out!

In a way, it was actually a good thing. It gave me a chance to replace the battery which had been going south for some time. I probably would never have gotten around to it otherwise! That was the first time the hatches had been opened since the plane was finished.
Wayne, your radio was actually ruined? That's odd. I used to get the radios drenched in R/C cars all the time, they always worked fine once I got the water out. I never even considered that my airplane radio might have gotten damaged.

Yeah,
My receiver was toast. I sent it back to Futaba and they fixed the thingymadooey that connects to the whoosadizzit and its been fine ever since.
Servos were ok. Batt was ok.
Hatches were curled up messes. Other than that and some slightly warped sheeting it was fine.
Totally worth the laughs we got from it!

Nah, I waited till late in the day when the crowd had thinned out some. The prez had left long before, having fulfilled his duty to the rest of us uneducated, non-pattern flying slobs. I also got special permission from the CD and made sure the flight line was clear before I flew. Stay in school kids, and just say no!

Scole, I haven't had time to do a thing with that Suki. Plus the motor only just arrived a few days ago, not sure what the delay was there. There has been many a quiet morning when I wished I had it done.....
Paul and Gordo, you may wish to join my fan club. The entry fee is one built profile kit, and the monthly dues are...well, another built kit. Those things don't last forever you know! :bananahea

If you guys join my fan club, I'll promise I will only charge a 12 pack of Bud Ice Light a month. No entry fee required either. Lessons (not sure what I will teach or what you will learn) will be held the day monthly fee is given. We will of course fly before the monthly fee is absorbed. Otherwise we will have trouble with the beloved AMA.
