best jumping rc
i have a choice from a traxxas revo3.3 and a t-maxx3.3 and a hobao hyper st what would be best suited to doing massive jumps and being completely bashed around and not breaking.

I have to agree about the revo and the t-maxx. never seen a hoboa though. go for the revo. it can be raced too. of course so can the t-maxx, but only if you race for fun. (i race a t-maxx, and its for fun.)

Savage is most definately jump king. Way more travel than a T-maxx and bulkheads that wont break after one cartwheel. The revo's suspension is not designed for big jumps so that is ruled out. I have seen a T-maxx jump and it is not pretty.

RE: best jumping rc
LOL, preconceived he says. My friend has the 3.3 and has broken 15+ parts (in around 20 tanks or so) not even being that hard on it. My notions are not at all preconceived. Not to start a arguement but i am sure a T-maxx can have a just as pretty jump if it lands on all fours. I am just trying to help the guy out and spread some semi-unbiased advice so he doesn't make the wrong decision. I know my friend can't drive, but the truck is aimed at noobies so it should be more durable than this. I must admit it is kind of durable, it is only the little things that break. He had many bellcranks and steering pieces die after cartwheeling. I have broken 1 part on my savge doing the same things in the same time period, but I am a better driver.
Again all in good fun...

Yeah, abiding from RCU's review of the Schumacher Havoc, I definitely second it. It looks like a true stunt truck and I would say that's probably a forgotten truck that really is good in jumping/stunts. That's a very good possibility if you are looking for the best jumping RC. (truck wise that is) Here's the review of the Havoc on RCU: http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/a...article_id=816

Nah poe yo friend got a factory defect my tmaxx has been rolled 5 times and landed back on wheels kept on going not a scratch so its just as durable as a savage in my opinion

RE: best jumping rc
yeh the havok is good and all but im looking for a four wheel drive and one of the three ive mentioned none else
and whats a bulk head exactly?
and because the t-maxx 3.3 has two springs for each wheel if you changed the setting on one does that mean you would have to change the setting on all springs to the same? wouldnt that get annoying?

I did mention the revo, then got drawn into the old "savage is god of all" argument.
To answer the question about the t-maxx shocks, no you dont have to change them all. That is one of the neet parts of its design. you can mix the springs up for very fine tuning. I run one stock spring and one progressive spring on each corner for racing.

Simply put, the best purpose built jumping truck is the Schumacher Havoc.
Not 4wd. No reverse. But abused equally with any other truck, it will be the last to break............
I know it was not in your 3 choices, but none you mentioned were designed for massive jumps.

Hehe, yes. I sell Schumacher products online. Our shop sells all the brands, but the website is just to satisfy Schumacher customers.
We have customers in Australia, thats why I threw my 2 cents in.
