Default The Ultimate crash and rebuilt thread

HI all , early in the spring of this year, I crashed my Bandit Arf, having a engine out , when I was too far out. It stalled and went nose in from 200 feet, all that was salvageable was the fin and stabs. Nearly every other part was smashed.

Since I already have rebuilt a Bandit, I thought I would give the Arf a try.
Here are some of the parts rebuilt.

Pete, get a job you got way too much time on your hands. I have no doubt you will rebuild that Barf. If you really want to show us what you can do call up Len and have him send you some of that dust from his reaction 54. Maybe you can clone it and grow new parts. Then I will personally send you one of those hard hats they wear at FBF in Brooklyn !

I'm waiting on some new mainflex plates to continue the wing .
To continue the fuse, I need some one that has a new Bandit Arf, to trace on paper the 4 or 5 wood formers in the fuse and email them to me.

Thanks Rcpete

Ive got an 80" BVM Sabre that you need to bring to life!!! I was going to sell the gear and part it out.
Its not near as bad as the two bandits you have resurrected!!

Nice work, but I think Rob Baker's FB F-18F rebuild has to be the king of all rebuilds. I think after it's first "big oops", all that was left was a ejection seat logo and one rudder.

Anyway, he still rebuilt the entire jet and it flew again. Talk about rising from the ashes!

HI Don, that would be great.
Their are 7 pieces
F6
F3 and fuel pump tray
F2 and lower equipment tray
F1 and I guess F1A, nose retract formers
I'll put the ARF aside for now and finish up on my never ending Super Balsa Bandit.
Thanks Rcpete

Pete,

Nice work, just goes to show no matter how bad the damage is, with time, effort, and dedication most things are possible.

Thanks for posting.
