Default scale-jets Sufa

Kit arrived today from Holland. Complete sealed wood crate delivered to my door with no external damage. Can't wait to unpack it. Will post more pictures after I liberate the kit from the

paging falcon wings!

looks really good! Those conformal tanks and the 'spine' along the back truly make a unique bird!

Centerline tank and one of the wing tanks. Already fitted to the wing. Very light. Fiberglass work is amazing even has weld lines molded in

It's been out for a while, but have not seen a single one flown. I think they also make a Block 60 version. That's a $15K model....not many out there.

Congrats on your jet. Unbelievably scale jet but above all a great flier. Perfect combo with the Jetcat P220 as it's super light jet.

Lots of work though and tricks to get it airworthy and lots and lots of hours to finish..... lots of fun.

Here are a few pics from mine, happy to assist if you need advice pm me. Specially when you get to the CG...

Thanks, Tassos

So this is clever. The rudder servo is mounted to a piece of aircraft plywood. In order to mount, the rudder bay had a rectangular section removed. The plywood plate is slid in vertically then oriented horizontal. The servo with remounted servo arm/ball is then screwed into the pre-existing holes with blind nuts. I had installed a long bolt in the front of the servo plate that was adjustable for height and made a jig to support the rear of the plate. I then dropped the assembly down, spread E20 Hp with a brush, then pulled the rudder assembly upwards and suspended the back and front so it looked perfectly horizontal then checked 90 degree with a straight edge. I had previously run the servo extension forward.

Hi Roy,

i dont want to hijack your thread, but i also own a Scale-Jets F-16. If you want i can provide you with some pictures. I think the Scale Jets F-16 is the best you can get.

Cheers

Hajo

Of course you and other scale-jet F16 owners are welcome to contribute to this thread. I am always open to sage advice from others with experience assembling and flying this excellent model kit.
