After about a six month wait just received word that my TopRCModel FW-190 has finally shipped.
93" wingspan and I'm installing an EME 70 twin with autostart.
Very nice. EME motors are especially nice with the electric auto start attached.
Another nice option would be an FG90r3, although that's twice the cost.
I have one on order also from VQ warbirds but haven't heard a thing yet about it being shipped to me; just that they got their container in on Wednesday and they were processing it all.
I have a Zenoah GT-80 with electronic ignition slated to go into mine.
Post pics when you get it; very curious what this bird looks like.
Websites say that it has been flown but I haven't seen anything on youtube for videos of it after searching the last week.
I'm probably one of the first to get it due to my whining, complaining and sniveling to Mike at Gater RC about getting this aircraft since I heard about it nine month ago.
They did. Arrived a little late so I just unpacked it.
First impression is that it's boxed up very well. I think you could drop this box from twenty feet up and not damage it's contents at all. Kick it around the warehouse? No problem.
Fuselage is very well made. Often the fuselage between the wing and tail is weak and has to be handled with care or reinforced. Not this one! It's not put together with some sort of hot glue like so many other are.
This model is light years ahead of the top flite FW-190.
I didn't preorder this one because I actually heard of this one 16 months ago at WOTR and evidently there where some delays. Probably wont be able to get one till next container, so I'll be watching closely. Does it have or can it be modified to have a sliding canopy?

Could be modified for a sliding canopy without to much trouble.
Wingspar,
Mine arrived last night; never got notice it was shipped, a nice surprise and a day after my birthday.
I am really impressed with the quality of this plane; very, very, detailed and light weight; this baby will be a speedster with GT-80 I am mounting in it.
Looking at getting a solo prop for it also; a bit on the expensive side though but very scale like.
Now to get the gear ordered.
Catch you later
Note that the slots for the horns in the rudder are not marked or cut out. Neither is a slot in the fuselage for the rudder control wire.
Not a big deal but a little extra work required.
