Hmmmmm.... RTR has a way of killing the hobby. They just become toys, and loose thier appeal IMO. Looks nice though, a Kit would be great.

Interesting. I dont know if that is good or bad.
But i do think that a rtr wont win comps. A fabricated crawler, that has time and dedication and that is tweaked and tuned will win comps.

Looks pretty cool. I don't know how I feel about an RTR crawler, though. Personally, I enjoy seeing all of the custom work people bring to the hobby.

I doubt it will be over 900 dollars, axial seems to try and make products that are affordable, like the new bead lock 2.2 rims, Some of the cheaper ones on the market. It will most likely be around 400-500 dollars maybe

I think I'm more interested in the axles they might be using.

thats about what I spent on my clod a Hitec 5495 servo, and gmade ultrac tires. I already had another servo mg995, Moped esc and tx/rx with rear steer mod so add all up and its about 700 and I still need a body and shocks.

Look for it to run under $300.00, that's great!

The axles look great and the tranny looks similsr to a Stealth.

The chassis is a prototype and will change before it's release.

RTR will not kill the hobby, people who think this need to think a little more before they say that. This area of the RC world is very niche still, if you want it to grow then there needs to be advacements like this. Yes it probabaly won't win big comps but it may start winning some, such as areas that didn't have many crawlers if any and this is their introduction to crawling.

I will always love to fabricate my own, but we need people to be able to buy them so that manufactures pay more attention. Can you imagine if we had the support of the traxxas T/E maxx. I have been on RCC since 2004 when there were a couple hundred people. That site has 11,000 now, 2 more years I bet it is close to 50,000+. I am as sick as anybody of seeing someone who just went out and bought every alluminum piece and saying they have Custom rig, but having the ability to get EVERY PART aftermarket would be nice.

Anyways, it is 3:00 in the AM and I am sick. Just venting.

Peace out.

That's the difference from crawling and many other forms of RC, Crawler pride themselves on having to have to BUILD their rigs.

RTR are disposable, if they become popular, it ill make crawling a disposable sport like what happened to the micro market.

It has suffered a huge decline as the people who bought RTR's have no real commitment to the sport, and when the next cool thing come along, they went w/ it.

I agree with Harley626. A RTR package will get alot more people to join the crawling community. Many people with less experience and not alot of money to spend will get this. Maybe after they have tried the RTR del they will chose to build their own. This would bring more customs and probaly very cool builds. RTR does also not make it "disposable". Look at the drifting scene. Now they are starting to make RTR drifters and that is becoming very popular (even I own one). I guess what I am trying to say is that I think a RTR will not hurt but help crawlers.

i reckon thisll bring more people into the wotld of rock crawling (Such as myself) especially people who cant afford decked out rigs, and the uncommited ones will move on to the next big thing where-as more serious people will get more and more involved. I think its a step forward, not back

I think he hit the nail on the head with this one. I am almost sure that is what will happen.
