That was pretty good. The ten bucks a flight gave it away. Everyone knows short of Obama's 1999 idea of a 500% tax on ammunition, the government likes the "death by a thousand cuts" approach. It's slow and most of the electorate pays no attention.

Using an avg of 6 min per flight, that makes flying your model more expensive per hour than most airline flights and you still have to supply the gas and peanuts.

Ah man! Does this mean I'm in the top 1% of wage earners? How depressing. I need to break into the top 0.5% cause I got more stuff to buy!

If it was this way then golfers will have to pay some kind of fee when their golf balls are traveling through the air space

Happy fools day [8D]

Cars,

Golfers are now encouraged to "top" the ball thereby hitting grass burners but avoiding those pesky airspace fees.

Quote from the editor of ANN "It is part of our annual April 1st edition."

My reply to him "It is in bad taste".

Mr. Moderator , Why do nt you remove this it is tasteless
I agree but not because it's tasteless. I just don't think we need to give Washington any new revenue generating ideas.

What grounds would we have for removing this thread? SImply because some people deem the thread to be "tasteless". When we start doing that then we are going to be on a very slippery slope that is not going to end well. While some may consider this thread to be "tasteless", others do not. So let's play Devil's Advocate here. How about a thread that you start. If somebody views that thread and thinks that it's tasteless should we then remove it as well?? Of course the answer to that is "no". This is why we try to make sure that all the actions we take are based on the RCU Community Rules. If this thread breaks the rules set forth in our Community Rules then I would gladly look at taking some kind of action here. But this thread doesn't violate any rules and is nothing more than a harmless April Fool's Day joke.

Well said.

There is nothing tasteless about it - no insults, no attacks on anyone, no idiotic comments. Just a joke that you'd hope anyone would see through after a moment's thought.

Besides, it wouldn't affect anyone from Montreal anyhow.. no Presidents up here. Though we are not exempt from fools in government.

Let me make myself clear here . Although it is a joke and I know that , I beleive it is not necessary , joking about the President is not funny .

My last comment on this subject
You've got to be kidding right? Whether or not you voted for whoever the current smuck that holds that office might be (and there's been a string of them...), joking about the President is *always* funny! SNL, Jay Leno, David Letterman etc., etc. have made that a national pass-time for a long time. Thank goodness for that, because sometimes, laughing is the only thing you *can* do...
