The parts are the best fitting of any kit (TF,GP,CG etc) that I've ever seen. The centre section is almost fully built before you apply a single drop of glue [X(]

Just keep on building, we are watching and taking it all in. I have been wondering about this kit since I saw on "coming soon" pages of their site. Sure would like to see an 80" version. Maybe they will in the future.
While you are at it, show us some pics of the glass and other pre-molded parts.
Thanks

Grahamd1; I am seriously considering the Val as my first true Warbird. I will be following your thread with great interest. Thanks for the opportunity to learn a bit before I throw my hat in the ring, so to speak.

Skyshark makes some nice looking kits. I sure wish they made them a little larger though. [&o]

Graham, this Looks like a fantastic kit, laser kits go together quickly and with a fixed UC this could be a good propersition for getting a war bird in the air for next spring.

Added the top sheeting on the centre section, this comprises of 4 15 1/2" 1/16" sheets joined together, I used 2 soft for the front and two hard for the rear, this way I can bend the front sheets over the ribs, with the rear hard sheets laying flat. I now need to install the "Y" lead and extension leads for the outer wing aileron servos.

Hisham I got it via air-mail from Skyshark in the US, but the UK distributor should have them by end November.

Like you I want a 1/5th scale one, and what better way to get the info [:-]

I've made my mind up on this finish, I like the greyish Naval look. I saw this scheme when I visited Pearl earlier this year.

Before the bottom of the centre section is sheeted, it is recommended you remove the flap push rods (this makes sence), however I was a bit worried about having to blindly align the rods back into the wing, so I added short lengths of fuel tubing. This should make it easier.
