My birthday is coming up and i was wondering what would be a good engine for my savage 25? i want it to be significantly more powerful than the S-25.

hey. if i were you, i would look into either the ofna picco .26 or the trinity sirio .27's. the sirio might be way expensive, but it is insane and reliable!

whats the speed on those? and what will the picco do for my truck? i want to increase both speed and torque for driving in gullies and to drive over anything i want.

the sirio is a BEAST! 3.1hp at 39,000 rpms, and the picco is 2.6 hp at 38,000 rpms. but you also have to look at the sirio's design and history. if its not your money i would get the sirio! i wish it was my birthday...

or if you can push your gift-givers anymore....you should check out the jp blacks. hey they might be $500.00, but they are the fastest on the market. i have also heard of a company called rody, who are supposed to make the best....but i havent heard much.

yea same i kick the living s*** out of every car i have ever owned. i would stick with the sirio. and also get a new tuned pipe (if you still have the original...its a hollow pipe, it doesnt do anything!)

i have looked around and i havent seen an engine with over 3hp and 39,000 rpms for the same price and dependability as the sirio.

my friend just told me about the http://acehardwarehobbies.com/2.2/ca...oducts_id=2873 and the http://acehardwarehobbies.com/2.2/ca...oducts_id=4028 and he says they are way better than the sirio .27

yea the rb concepts is very nice but you got one problem. i am pretty sure it starts up with a starter box and i have not found a conversion kit to convert it to pull start. and since the savage has to be started by a roto-start or a pullstart....you got a problem. and also, dont fool around with little .21 engines. you wont get the low end torque in those engines as you would in a .26 or .27. The .27 sirio would tear apart the .21 sirio (in your savage).

hmm...not sure, you will be able to climb over mostly anything that your s-25 couldnt (the .27 has amazing low-end torque), and it does hit 39,000 rpms (which can be pushed higher with colder weather and different needle settings), so i would guess about 55+mph. you would have to change the clutch bell if you wanted high end speeds more than low end acceleration. the 15 tooth is better for acceleration and the 18 is great for high end speeds (the 18 accelerates a little bit slower, but with the .27 sirio, it would have better acceleration with the 18 tooth than the S-25 would have with the 15 tooth)

i think im not going to ask for the engine. im going to tell them to get it! thats a very high speed. my stock tires cant handle that i know. what are some good other tires????

RE: what engine to get?? b-day comin up
the pro-line maxx masher tires are really nice. stay away from the jumbo kongs and all of those huge and goofy tires...you loose a lot of torque and it is hard to accelerate in some conditions cause the tires are so giant. i would get the pro-line maxx masher tires on pro-line velociy 6 rims. and also, if you are looking for other upgrades, get some new alluminum shocks. hot bodies makes a bunch of them.

im not really looking for anymore upgrades except for a hump pack and like a clutch. are the big joes good tires??
#22
RE: what engine to get?? b-day comin up
yea the big joe's are actually nice tires. they provide amazing traction and a wider stance. if you are looking into a clutch, get atleast a 3 shoe, or even a 4 shoe.

i was gonna get a 4-shoe aluminum clutch for my truck. it would inprove accel and it would give me a little more top end cause the clutch would slip alittle less. what tires do you like for your truck??

RE: what engine to get?? b-day comin up
i actually really like the stock tires. they are a soft compund and the nubs on them grip the ground very nicely. i havent yet upgraded my tires but i did try some t-maxx tires and terra crusher tires but they were just awful because they were a very hard compound.

i dont really like the stock tires because of their handling at high onroad speeds. im trying to get a tire that is good for both and has good enough traction for mud and steep mud hills while still very good performance on the road. do you know what might be the best tire for me?
