Just hit the "quote" button on the original post, and the reply window that appears will show the original info in its full and uncensored glory. You can then copy-paste the URL if you wish.

Good deal Gordon. Now this thread will probably be deleted. I've already put in an inquiry with the community moderators about their freedom of speech policies and how they are not adhered to. A particular thread that was censored a few nights ago that really got me ticked off. Here's some of RCU's freedom of speech policy.

As a publisher of other peoples' opinions, we are quite similar to printers in Ben Franklin's day. We also believe that the underlying wisdom in his words provides a sound foundation for our policies. The very fact that we DO NOT interfere with the free expression of our members is what makes RCUniverse a desireable place to post such expressions.Without that activity, there would be nobody to which our vendors' advertisements could be directed.

Ok, rather than delete this thread and make everyone think we're being jerks, let me FIRST remind you to review the rules, particularly those regarding posting to OTHER forums/websites. In this case, you cannot view the pictures on the website you have linked to without signing up to the forum. I have no idea which C17 you are referring to, but I would guess it's this one:
http://homepage.eircom.net/~skycam/C...obemaster_III/
There have been multiple posts made on RCU regarding this aircraft, use the search function, it works very well.

Linking to other forums on RCU is no different than walking into somebodies business and trying to hang up a flyer for a competing business, try walking into a ford dealer and hanging up an ad for a new chevy dealer opening down the street. RCU is a privately owned forum put here for you guys to enjoy free of charge. Rather than thinking the moderators are being jerks, try looking at the rules and respect them, I guarantee you if anyone walked into my bodyshop and hung up a MAACO flyer it'd be ripped down faster than a P200 powered Super Bandit!

Jeremy,
Nobody in this thread referred to you or any other mod as jerks, at least not publicly.

As far as the Ford vs Chevy analogy goes, it ain't cuttin it. Comparing RCU to any of the other RC sites should be more like GM vs Yugo. RCU shouldn't be scared that people are going to see a link to another RC forum and leave and never come back. Actually when shopping for a car, the dealer that knows he's got the best vehicle will tell the customer to go check out the competition and he's confident that the customer will be back. RCU is at the top of it's game and shouldn't feel threatened by someone posting a link to another site. In reality, hiding something from the little boys that we are, is only going to make us more curious to see what we are missing. If those are the rules, then so be it. Seems a bit childish to me but hey, I'm just a member.

I saw the plane your refering to I think it is the one built for BBC home ane leasure channel with 15 episodes aired in the UK.
Man I don't know what the problem is sharing info with nothing for sale on either post not even like dealerships or cars!?!
Sticking your head in the sand doesn't make them go away either.

Member RCU, RCJET, rcscalebuilder and RCG's, I use the same handle on all forums and don't prefer one over the other yet.

Re-read the constitution. It only says that the government shall make no laws abridging the freedom of speech, etc.

It says nothing about what a privately-owned organization can do. There are things like private property rights, too.

Great, I'm thrilled that you are on all those forums, bottom line is, here are the rules for this PRIVATELY owned website:

POSTING LINKS:
Our policy on linking to other websites is pretty simple. Members may link to any other site that provides information that helps answer another member's question or is just of general interest to members of that particular forum. One of the most basic tenets of the Web is the open exchange of information, and the RCU forum managers wholeheartedly support this type of exchange. Members may NOT link to sites which require registration or membership to view the content.

The only other type of linking (besides porn and spam as mentioned previously above in our rules, of course) that will not be allowed on our site is when members solicit people to leave our site to a competing service. That's just common sense. We won't allow people to use our site to promote a competing service any more than a brick-and-mortar store would allow his competitor to paste flyer's all over his walls. However, people are always welcome to link to any non competing online resource in order to share useful information with fellow members.
The above link was to a website that required you to register before you could view the pictures.
Thanks

Is this the model that you were referring to?
There are in fact two large C-17's in the UK. One is in Ireland and was designed and built by Dave Matthews, and to date has yet to fly. The other ( Slightly larger) was designed and built by a team of four, headed by Colin Straus. This model was built for a Satellite TV Channel model making program called Model Mania. The model has flown a number of times and was sold last year. It was powered by 4 Jet cat P-120's but has now be re fitted with two AMT Olympus HP's. Hope this is of help.

The model in the photo of the last post is for sure bigger than the one from Ireland. Not much in it.. only a few inches ( But as we all know those few inches make all the difference )
I will try to attach a few more pics of the beast as I go

Hey Ali,
On that "a few inches makes the difference" comment, I agree but can you make the picture of the guy in the workshop a couple of inches bigger cause it would make a difference for my old eyes to see it .

Geez,
You could fit a barbecue propane tank in there. Heck, you could fit the barbecue.

Is there any video available to see this mammoth fly?
