RE: TC3/TC4 thread
Nice! What pinion size are you running? I have a tc4 & am using a Trinity co27 stock for my stock class & Speed Gems pro Kobal 13t modified. My esc is a vg 7.1. For bashing I run a 27 pinion, the car goes insanely fast!!I am burning through tires ( I don't mind the expense). I bought a rtr and went through and lock tightened all the pins for cvd and differentials. I cut all wires to make as short as possible. I also straight solder to the motor from the esc.I use a jr xr2i radio. I am saving for a futaba 3 pk. [

RE: TC3/TC4 thread
having problems with my TC3, every time i go out either to a track or on the street i get small pebbles
caught in the steering rail. almost always results in a high speed head on into a wall or cirb.
do any of u guys have any solutions for this??

RE: TC3/TC4 thread
heres my team kit.
i'm running an hv maxx 6.5 on 14 ib 4200's
hpi vintage rims an rubbers
all metal shafts and steel spools
hpi 68 camaro body
super high gearing.
it's got to be one of the fastest "stock" tc4's in the world i'm thinking
she'll get low 70's on the radar

RE: TC3/TC4 thread
ive got a 21 pinion with a 72 spur,
and a reedy modified 12T motor.
i was running a modified 27T trinity moster and i think il stick it back in cause in my tc3 therse very little difference
but i have a FT RC10 B4 and the reedy motor is waaay faster in it.

RE: TC3/TC4 thread
Hey guys, I've got gearing questions:
What pinion should I run using a Trinity Komodo 19t spec pro for general bashing/ racing use?
what pinion would be good running a Trinity Speed Gems Pro 17 double @20* timing?
I've got 72t spur.
other motor I have is a fantom stock running 72/21 on a tight track... works well

RE: TC3/TC4 thread
I just scored a mostly stock TC4 roller chassis off ebay. It looks kinda like it sat around for some time before being put up for sale, there is some rust spots on the hex screws here and there, and from the pics a couple of broken/missing parts, like the cracked front bumper plastic, and a missing body post. It comes with some kind of servo, but I have another spare if it's troublesome.
I plan on slapping in my Novak 6.5 or 3.5R on 6-cells in it, or my MMax 5700 on 6-cells or 3S lipo. The TC4 I got was upgraded with ball diffs by the previous owner.
I'm just gonna use this as a basher and speed runs. Are there any other upgrades to the tranny that are bare essentials for brushless power, besides replacing the stock plastic axles with metal ones, or is it pretty sturdy in stock form?
For the body, I am thinking of either a Lambo Gallardo for street use or maybe even a classic/modern-retro Muscle car, and later on maybe a rally type body and rally upgrade kit. Gonna try to keep it looking good, maybe some working LED lights and such.
Since the auction ended I guess it's ok to link to it? [link=http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=190155094225&ssPa geName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=009]TC4 w/ ball differentials roller chassis[/link]
And what is "torque-steer" exactly? I hear it mentioned often as a problem with shaft-drive cars using high power.
