RE: Tamjets F-16 fan (EDF F-16 Video)
It was doing a bit more than that, I was doing the radar gun speed measurements. Tam acounted for the up and down wind speeds and is fine tuning the design....

When I fly this EDF F-16. It feel like I was flying composite F-16 with P-70 power.
It had a lot of power for verticle performance and high speed pass.
Here what we clock on down wind 133mph. Up wind 105mph.
I still fine tuning the design to archive little more speed.
Here is data of the set up.
Plane weight 7.9 lbs.
DS-51 90mm fan
NueMotor 1515 1.5Y
3700mah 9s (Poly-Quest Pack)
Jetti plus 90a ESC
72amp
2200 watts
6.75 lbs static thrust with full inlet ducting and no cheater hole.
Exhaust velocity airspeed 156mph.
Right now I had another project on the table for EDF.
This is bigger one and it start out with letter A. Few more weeks it should be ready for maiden flight.

Tam. what can you say about the A-4. Is it your turbine version with EDF ducting or slightly smaller. I am on your list for the F-16 but will hold off if you come out with an EDF A-4. Hopefully it is the JHH size with modified sport wing. My all time favorite.

But, of course, he would not have it any other way! I think he will really enjoy that bird.

Performance was impressive. Wish I could have watched more but I was busy tending to my F-16. This baby can really move though. I few tweaks here and there and it will be ready for sale!!!

Kevin,
10S will put the fan to the fuse.
TP 3830mah 9S should be at the limit.
See you later.

Tam has finally found a jet that makes him look tall !!!
I must admit, its performance was pretty impressive. From the look in Tam's eyes when the pylon racers went up afterwards though, I'm thinking maybe he isn't done in looking for more ways to make this thing scoot
Hey - since the racing ban only applies to turbine powered jets, maybe we'll see some EDF f-siktee pylon races coming up soon .. ?

Hi,
No, I'm thinking I have a project coming up soon and I'm gonna be up in that area and would like a videograhper who can track a fast-moving bird the way this guys does. The lack of response (or the pissy response from Ian, for that matter) is just vinegar from some disagreements I've had with some of 'the gang' up there.
So Tam, who's behind the camera?
