When are we going to see some more work on modifying these Tanks?
I'm just looking to see some more new paint work, some new mods, something more on the 1/16 HL, and Tamiya, Lets get back to what we all turned this forum into. I know it's better weather out there and we all are catching up on work around the house, but when the sun goes down there is still time to do a little something on our tanks.

edited out my first response...........[:@]
I have an SU-100 build going on. Haven't seen you post on it. In fact very few do but there seems to be a flood of people posting on new Mato shipping threads......again......and again......and again...

RE: When are we going to see some more work on modifying these Tanks?
I think people are just busy. I've been doing a lot of work over the past 4 weeks, the weather is getting nice and people are probably getting out and doing stuff to their homes for the first time since last year. On the "introduce yourself" thread most of us seem to be "adults" (big kids!) with responsibilities.. trust me, if I could spend 24/7 doing this, I would
I promise to start my Jagd project as soon as I can!
And tomorrow if my day goes as planned I'll post an update towards it as I hope to get something that will help me along.... Ooooo, cryptic!

RE: When are we going to see some more work on modifying these Tanks?
history 101;
This is the original Walker bulldog. A 1;35 model I did some years ago showing the T-41 Bulldog in testing....1950. There was an acute shortage of modern tanks after the Korean War, so the turret with new range finder, controls and 90mm gun was fitted to the proven M-46 chassis and with some modifications became the M-47. Two new turrets were made for the Bulldog but one with a range finder and side mounted machine guns was dropped in favor of the turret and HV 76mm gun now seen on the HL model.

I don't know if anyone's interested, but here's a vid of my newly finished Tiger. It's a HL converted from non S&S which I bought from E-bay for £15 (inc p&P). It's my first RC tank, so it's not going to be anything spectacular I do warn you.

I'm going to have a go at taking a few stills as well. The vid was literally made with an old webcam I had lying around in the workshop.

pscartozzi,
I wonder what you edited out? Was not pointing any fingers, just trying to knock on a few doors to see what everyone was doing new. It seems to be working
Thanks everyone for your feed back.
Richard L.
When I saw your springs, I had to look at the ones on my Panzer III (with all metal) and the front springs are competely compressed, this will be something most of us will need to add, Thanks.
Karma99 & swathdiver
I think the sunny weather has kept some of us from sitting down and working on tanks. I just had to see if I would get anyone to agree.
pattoncommander
Thanks for the bulldog pics, my bulldog is still completely stock and is one tank I have not come up with a plan for what I want to do with it. Need more, thanks

Thanks for the site info.
BIGMIC
Don't need a list, just more pics and reading info.

to busy laying turf, patio and decking oh yea the dining room needs plaster boarding, floor laying, light fitting.
but that said there is the little project of re-designing the heng-long tiger 1 lower chassis to be made all out of aluminium, using existing heng-long bits also trying to get a panther chassis done as well all out of aluminium and the right size and length correct wheel positions etc.....all done on a brand spanking new £500,00.00 punch press and brake press hopefully post some pics soon

RE: When are we going to see some more work on modifying these Tanks?
If it wasn't for Pscartozzi, the board would be pretty flat. I have started on my SU 100 and will be posting some pics as I move along. Won't be much different then Pscartozzi has done, but I will try to focus on the differences so it isn't so similiar, (when I can)
What I would really like to see are some new members posting some stuff. It is always great when a board is full of action, when you can spend a good 1/2 hour reading new stuff.

RE: When are we going to see some more work on modifying these Tanks?
the idea i had was to make a new tub chassis for the hl tiger from aluminim replacing the sstd springs with roller bearings and 5mm dia brass rod to hold it all together use the new metal arms on the outside and the old plastic ones (as they are now redundent) on the inside with a new coil spring attached to it for the suspension all ive got to at the mo is a mock up on the old plastic chassis
