Galen, when I first saw that plane about (what was it) 3-4 years ago I really wanted one. Was slow on the uptake and never got one. I really like that sceme.

ZX, like that one too. I put one together for my brother and still have mine to build. First pick is my brother picking up after I maidened it for him first (last pic)

Thanks rdb! Since you maidened your brother's Yak I don't have to tell you how well they fly. It's good to see proud owners and test pilots after a successful maiden flight.
Your picture of the crates on the fork lift caused me to remember something that made me laugh out loud tho'. I remember when you first posted the pictures on the build thread because I was suppose to receive my Yak the very same day according to an email I received from the vendor. Now I'm normally a very patient person but when I saw your pictures of the Yaks being loaded onto your truck I developed the anxiety of a kid on Christmas day because I knew the call was coming for me to pick up my delivery. Two days later I still didn't receive the call and everyone was posting all kinds of good things about their deliveries on the build thread. After two more days I contacted the vendor for status. There was just a small glitch in the process that caused a delay in my kit being shipped. It was no big deal and the kit arrived a couple weeks later. What made me laugh was that in twenty four years of building and flying model aircraft I do not recall ever being anxious to receive or even fly a model aircraft. When kits arrive they arrive. When they're ready to fly I fly them. It may have been the hype of the build thread but that innocent little picture of your Yaks being loaded up made me realize, for a couple of days anyways, there was still a kid in me somewhere. At forty-one that's good to know.

RE: Are you Yakkin' ?
ZXPiot, I have gotta agree. Something about the crate (and especially the pic of two!) that brings out the kid in me. But then again I get that when it comes via UPS in a big cardboard box. When I got my first Sig Kadet ARF some time ago I had to cut out the top of the box with the picture of the plane and put it in the garage.
The last time I was over to fly with my brother the engine was really coming to life with over a gallon. The NX-29X10 was ripping the air at 1/2 throttle on the 3W-80XI still on 32-1 break in oil.

Doug, those planes look nice at the Nall. If you ever get down this way, look me up!! I fly at 3 fields locally the closest (electric) 5 min away and the others at 25 min. I don't need an excuse to take a day off from work to go flying!!
