Picco .21 + Revo= stoopid fast
I just got my Picco .21 put in me race revo and put one tank through it... that motor is insane, and its just now got one tank through it. But i am kinda worried about the linkage, i might have to upgrade the throttle servo, but who knows.
I will post some pics on here in a bit to let everyone see it, its awesome.

Way above a buggy .21. Try a STS.30 ! You want to talk about "POWER" ?? Second gear
wheelies over backwards with street gearing 36/19. I have 1 and 3/4 gallons thru this engine
and it gets faster every time I take it out ! I am also running the shorter 2.5 chassis which will
test your driving skills because of the wheel base. You want to talk about fun! Yeh Buddy !
Have been into this nitro based hobby for 30 years. Cars and Boats. Enjoy !!!

A .28 has no business on a revo if it was meant for the track if I was going to race my revo I would stick to my os .18 or maybe try the .21 like he said but anymore than that and it overpowers it.

Got to disagree with that. I have a modded OS TZ.18 that I use to run till I did a big block
conversion with a STS .30. No way am I going back to the smaller engine and no problems
with being overpowered. As far as hanging with .26's and P3's you better beware! The D30M
has a crazy top end and revs well past most other big block engines. The agressive port timing
of this engine pushes the powerband higher into the rpm range more like a race bred .21 and
not the mid range or a little higher powerband of most other .26's thru .32's.

Just curious, but are you breaking this motor in...? Or are you just going all out from tank one? If you didn't go easy on it, then don't expect that motor to last very long. You are supposed to keep the front end down, and the transmission in first gear for the first six tanks.

hey there dont worry lol, i am still breaking it in and it wheelied twice on the fourth tank and by accident on the first, and i plan on running about a gallon of fuel for break-in on this motor.

I also hear that these STS engines are a pain in the ass to break in and are ticking time bombs waiting to implode.

Yes this engine takes at least a one gallon break in before you can pull some head shims and lean the
needles to a race tune. This is not a beginners engine because it takes tuning skills and is sensitive to
small needle changes. I have two gallons thru my .30 and the compression is excellent along with the
connecting rod, crankshaft and lower bearings all in like new condition. As far as the "ticking time bomb"
I now people who have eight + gallons thru their STS 30's and they run the S%*# out of them. So nuch for
longivity! Any engine can have mechanical failure but a fair amount of engine implosions are caused by too
many lean runs which places incredible stress on a engine. This is not directed at you in any way shape or form
but just a generalization, there are people with not much mechanical ability who are better suited to sport or RTR
type engines that are easy to tune. A race type engine with more aggressive port timing is going to take a lot
more tuning skills to prevent damageing lean runs. Being able to read a glow plug and tell what that motor is
doing also helps a lot.
