RE: Whining About Nitro
Would you like some cheese with that whine?
Its a hobby... certain people like certain things. I like nitro because its fun to tune, stinks, and creates an incredibly annoying sound. I like electric because I can drive it at night, or not irritate people.
The nitro vs. electric arguments are getting a little old.

If you whine about nitro then you will whine about electric. Next you will whine about model cars.

RE: Whining About Nitro
So are you saying that if I say I don't like nitro, that is whining?
I don't do nitro simply because of the long winters up here they can only be run about 4 months a year, so I go electric. Run them inside, outside year round.

Wow nitro racer, your really not helping this retarted argument You pretty much managed to make one if these retarted sounds. I like nitro, but grow up some. Can't stand for someone to say "electric is better"? Have you ever had a electric ? Everybody has DIFFERENT opnions, is that too hard of a concept for you to grasp? I haven't been of RCU that long, but I have seen a good 15 posts dealing with Nitro vs Electric and you know what, they all end the same way no one can agree! Posts like these are just plain stupid, and get old really fast. Please ban these Nitro vs Electric threads.

RE: Whining About Nitro
i run both. nitro in the warmer months and electric 0n indoor tracks in winter. both have their place in rc. going brushless in my 1/8th buggy is tempting. but the tuning and set up is 3/4 the enjoyment of it.

RE: Whining About Nitro
I've never had any trouble running my nitros in the winter.
I like electrics for the smaller stuff. 1/12 to 1/24. Indoor vehicles, mainly. My outdoor ones I prefer to have a genuine engine in 'em. Sure Brushless electrics can, and likely will, run rings around my nitros. But I don't care. Mine sounds better

RE: Whining About Nitro
PERSONALLY the reason i love nitros so much is because i can appreciate them. I have always been a real car entheusiast, and somehow it kinda carries over. i enjoy the mess and sound and the challenging maintenance. i also know how to do it right, so i dont really have any problems with it. but seriously take a nitro piston and hold it with the truck it came out of... its pretty impressive to think about!
