i love my TC4.

Slo-V nice acquisition. in 4wd RC terms, Torque steer is when a car pointed straight veers in one direction momentarily [heavy throttle]. its is a byproduct of the twisting force of the center driveshaft.

Ah ok gotcha. Kinda like throttle usage with a prop plane, wants to turn left in most cases. But I sorta noticed that with my 18T when I had my Mamba 8000 in it, it kinda went one or the other way starting out, but was easy after a few seconds. As long as I don't hit a curb or go into a drain....

hey have a tc4 with graphite conversion. What brushless system should I drop in? I will be running 3s Lipo and will just be bashing and doing speed runs.

I just put an LRP Eraser 10.5 brushless and a Sphere Comp TC ESC in my Factory Team TC4, but that's for racing. It's the lowest turn brushless we're allowed to run in Super Stock. Given the opportunity, I'd be dropping a 3.5 in there

I only got the car a week or so ago, second hand. Unfortunately, for a car that was described as 'as new', I've had to do a lot of work on it to get it up to an acceptable standard. The list of issues includes:
* stripped screw heads,
* stripped screw holes,
* wrong type of screws (countersunk in places where there should be button head etc),
* missing screws,
* drive washers missing from both diffs,
* e-clips and c-clips missing from some shafts,
* no shims on the axles,
* no shims on some shafts,
* ruined ball joints,
* broken uni cup,
* too long suspension arm pin has been forced all the way through and out the other side of the suspension arm,
* leaking shocks with scratched shafts.

And here's the best one.....those of you with a TC4 will know about the thrust washer/ball set-up on one end of the bolt that holds the diff together, right? This guy managed to put balls and washers in the other side too, AND still managed to get the bolt to thread into the T-nut [X(]. He must have clamped that sucker in a vice or something to get the spring compressed enough! I originally thought it was a solid axle

Anyway, it's almost back to where it should be now. Just waiting on a couple of small items to arrive and I'll be happy.

Team Associated FTW! I used to have a tc3 rtr back in the day. Then moved up to a Team Kit tc4, Then recently acquired a FT TC4. Both tc4's had brushless 3c 5700kv 3c lipo setups. The FT tc4, has a solid rear axle, front/rear sway bars installed, MM 5700kv, Maxamps 5000mah 3c(100a 20c), airtronics 94357, synth. receiver, and a 28/72 for speed runs. I also have 2x 12v dc fans, each one(only one in pic) run off a 3c 900mah lipo for cooling.

I am new to street cars. I know a lot about nitro trucks and buggies and that's about it. What size MM 5700 would I need and would I need cooling fans? Also, what's a solid rear axle?... for drifting?
thanks

Hey guys, i just got a tc4(first on-road car). It's set up for drifting, would putting a brushless system on it affect it at all? I plan on using normal rubbers also, i was just wondering if it would be any harder to drift with a brushless.

Thanks

I doubt it would be harder to drift with the brushless. Why are you using rubbers though? ABS wheels will drift much easier.

BTW Just got my TC4 Team today. I'll try to post some pics soon.

Here is my TC4. Just got it a few days ago. I stole it on ebay. It's a TC4 Team kit running stock tires/wheels with a 350Z body. The body is pretty beat but I knew that when I bought it and plan on going with something else in the near future. Regardless the body is more than good enough for beating on. It also came with a set of foams on black wheels.

I took it out for it's first run a couple of days ago and can say for sure that it handles better than my TA04, it just feels much more planted in the turns. All in all I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

TC-4 with the Novak 3.5R Brushless Motor/ESC.
I'm running that with an IB4200 Battery.
This thing flies. I'm hitting around 70mph with the right body.

There's a link on the AE site for building a lexan shield, if you will...

http://www.rc10.com/racerhub/techhelp/faq.electric.htm

goto ELECTRIC TOURING CARS, and click, "How to build your own TC3 Steering Rack Cover"

I'm running an old TC3 that I built, about 8 years ago, all stock parts, LRP IPC Pro esc, Pulse R 11T motor, I use some old battery packs, Reedy 3000, 7.2V/3300mAh Ni-MH RC Battery Packs from Radio Shack, and a friend told me to try a lipo pack he doesnt use anymore. Does anyone know if it's OK for me to run this with my set up, the Lipo pack reads, 7.4V 5000mah, 12c

I wish I knew what all that meant

Thanks
