I think you are talking about this one.

I am talking about the one for a 100cc twin engine.
Thanks for your input.

Just woundering if it is one of the to good to be true prices, most ARFS in this size are $800.00 to $1,200.
Keep trying to figure out why they say 100cc on a 27 lb Cub when a Balsa USA is about the same weight and most are flown with a G62. ????

- The build quality is not bad, and it tends to get better as you go up in size and expense.
- Most people see the provided hardware and immediately replace it. I find that a good amount of the provided hardware is usuable, but I do replace some things.
Giant scale flyers tend to be fairly conservative in their hardware choices ( a good thing ) so they tend to blast the provided hardware.
- The covering is disparaginly called "China-Coat". Nitro fuel tends to destroy the adhesive, so if you're going Nitro a clear coat spray is a MUST.
- Parts are hard to get, if your used to fixing or building planes you are fine, but novices can't deal with this.
- Glue joints, gear mounts, etc. should be reviewed and sometimes re-inforced.
- These are NOT $800.00-$2,200.00 Composite-Arf "wonders", but they are good Ply/Hardwood/Balsa planes if you take all of the above into account.
Ultimately it depends upon what you are looking for.
I have higher end planes as well as these, and I tend to take the less expensive planes out with more frequency as I know if a problem developes I'm out less cash.
-
As for the requirement specs... these are VERY loose recommendations.
Remember that a G62 may be equal or more powerful than some cheaper Asian 100cc engines.
I find that output power can vary quite a bit on Asian gassers... I have a 26cc which only puts out 1.4HP and another similiar 26cc that easily tops 2.5hp...

Nail polish works great, but it contains acetone, which also undermines the adhesive... bare that in mind.
Apply it sparingly.
I find the clear coat spray easier to apply and produces a consistent look, but I've used nail polish to touch up areas.
CA also works, but it is too easy to fog the covering with it.
