Default I lost a capacitor. Problem?

After doing a top speed run in my HPI Sprint I ran it around for a little bit and turned it off. Nothing unusual about how it ran and pulled 49.3 mph. I thought it was perfect for the gearing and motor. When I got home I did a little maintenance and noticed one of the two capacitor was missing. Is this an issue? It won't be covered under warranty so Im hoping it will be ok. Thanks for viewing and for comments.

buy one at the same specs and replace it. From the looks of your other one I would replace them both...

I thought about this too, but this happened before and I tried re soldering it on. Clearly though it didn't work. The board that it's on seems like it has a plastic covering on it so I couldn't get the solder to stick to the board. Any suggestions?

You're going to have to peel apart the plastic case with a slim flat-blade small sized screwdriver.

After you peel apart the case, you'll see the solder pads on the caps.

Easy enough, after you carefully peel the case apart and read my soldering thread

You'll certainly void the warranty if you go this route. Remember that!

Those are completely different than the ones you originally had. They need to be the same.

what would happen if I used them? I thought it didn't really matter as long as you weren't getting smaller than stock.

You can fry the FETs if you don't.
