HELP - Bizarre Problem
Guys,
I am pulling my hair out with this one! I have an Ikarus Piccolo and a Futaba 9ZAP WCII.
The problem is when I move the elevator stick, both the aileron servo and elevator servo move. When I move the throttle stick the elevator servo moves too!
Now, I have started with a totally clean (all parameters reset) model so there are no mixes set up. I have checked the servo trace screen and moving the sticks show no mixes at all. I have used the same Tx and model settings to control a standard receiver and servos and there is no mixing going on but as soon as I use the Piccolo it mixes all the servos!!
I tried a friend's FF8 tx on the piccolo and the servos moved correctly without signs of any mixing. To add more to the confusion my old regular ZAP (i.e. not WCII model) flew it fine!! It's definitely not the picoboard as a) we tried a brand new one and it would mix the servos the same and b) my firends FF8 worked fine!
Is there something incompatible with the 9ZAP WCII and the PicoBoard that I don't know about?!?!?
Please please help!!!

RE: HELP - Bizarre Problem
Assuming you have a fixed pitch Piccolo, you probably have the swash type set to CCPM. I'm not that familiar with the 9Z or the Piccolo but you should be able to change the swash type in the TX for S-1 (IIRC).

RE: HELP - Bizarre Problem
it sounds that way to me, that you have 120 degree ccpm mixing enabled. on the picollos its best to keep the radio as simple as possible. what you need your tx to do is just be a 4 channel. consult the instructions to see how to remove all ccpm mixing including 90 degree. the reason the throttle is moving with a servo is that its adjusting for collective pitch when the motor would be runnin at a constant rpm.

RE: HELP - Bizarre Problem
Guys,
thanks for the suggestions. Thing is, I have the model mode as 'Aero' not 'Heli' - as far as I was aware the 'aero' mode has no setting for the swashplate??
Still confused!!!
Regards,
Mark
