Flying Stabilator
My upcoming winter project, a seaplane titled CURLEW MKII, features a flying stab. While the construction technique for the stab is not an issue, I am interested in what may be the preferred material for the bushing, wing tube and rod connecting the two stab halves. My last flying stab was on an Antares sailplane with removable stabs while the CURLEW has the two halves permanently attached.
Suggestions?

Thanks for the tip Gord.
I have good memories of sailplane flying outside of Ottawa while posted to the Canadian Forces Communication Command as an exchange officer. Always enjoyed my trips to Kingston to speak at the military school there.
