Would depend on the pipe. My K45 is using a Grumania pipe that is for 40-80N engines.

Just intuitively, I'd say that definitely not with a P-20 sized pipe and most likely not with a K45 sized pipe.

These 70N engines produce almost twice the thrust of a 40N engine but with the same can and nozzle size. To do this, they have to move more air through the same opening - thus much higher efflux velocity. I would think that stuffing that much high velocity air (or trying to) through a small pipe would at a minimum result in a loss of thrust, possibly engine overheat, or worst case pipe collapse.

I would stick to a pipe designed for an 80N engine for the K-70 myself...

Here's mine as well, had to do something about the stock settings as would not start on diesel from factory. have changed very little and have a record of what was done, I was very reluctant in changing anything to be honest.

I will say after watching that video of yours ragtop yours starts sooo sooooo much better, are you running diesel?. Mine is no where near starting right, it barely gets a temp increase on first burn and really struggles to get past the 72 degree ramp up, takes ages and sometimes fails.

Have a feeling I am going to have to contact kingtech eventually to get it starting right.

the one in the Video is mine, I run it on Jet A1.
It looks like you have cold ambient temperature in your video, that might cause a bad / longer start...

Cheers for the update on what fuel your using I thought it was running to clean for diesel.

Had mine out today and got it running/starting a lot better, settings are auto +1 and 68 pump ign,k. It's very close and a lot cleaner.
I am new to turbines and was wondering if cold diesel on a cold day would be a factor, today was 12 degrees C and after a few good starts on the above settings I put it back to factory auto +3 and pump ign,k 64 and it refused to start, hangs on preheat every time so a change was indeed justified and had to be made.

Ran it three different days now on the bench and feel I have made progress each time out and have a setting close enough to use now, of course would rather it just ran out the box but it did not. On the plus got quite familiar with starting a turbine.

Yes. temp makes a difference they are harder to light off on colder days . Once lit the fuel ring and injectors are heated to atomize the fuel. You will notice once lit off. it will start consistently unless it cools to ambient temp again.
