Just ran across this old thread again.. and was wondering - that plane that scausey posted looks like it might be the "bony Toni" that I think was a Jim Gager kit.
Here's another oldie that I'm currently putting radio gear into.. A Heinkel QM15: The NMPRA numbers and AMA seem to indicate this was built by Charles Eads, I picked it up from a guy out in Oregon some time back.

I can't take any credit for it.. I bought it 2nd hand from a guy I got a handful of old Qm15 things from, (like the conquest .15 in the picture with the plane) and lucked out! It is nice - nicely built and finished.
Just for fun, here's another old picture. This one's a Gager Estrellita that I built, raced at the Lincoln NE nationals in 1987. My friend and caller Bob is holding the plane for ID at the start of a heat, I'm hiding in the background. Notice no hard hats like we wear now racing - back when we were young and not so interested in self-preservation!
