New to on road electric
Just ordered a redcat exp drift car (I kno I'm a newbie lol) and was wondering what lipo battery setup would best pair with the 540 brushed motor. ..for overall speed and battery life. Already purchased a banana to Dean's connector for the car. I already have 2 5200mah 50c 2s lipos that I run in a brushless buggy. Would those be safe to run in the redcat? Thanks in advance from a new member!

My only concerns with brushed motors is the heat from long runs. I had not luck with off road buggies and trucks while using newer cheap brushed motors. ..6 minutes and she was cookin'. On-road and drifting probably can get away with more if geared correctly.

Thanks Rusty. Note taken..honestly I am just want more punch out of the motor so I can RIP out of a turn with a set of rubber tires, not a full blown drift but get alittle loose lol.
