Jetcat 180 NX
Hi!
I got a 180 NX in my CARF J10.
I have 7 problem free flights with an awesome engine! Last flight was Thursday 4th July.
today at the field i unloaded and charged batteries etc just like usual, put fuel in and went out to fly. Engine starts as usual and I went down the runway turned around and smoothly put throttle on. Airplane just sits there not moving, throttle not responding. Went down there and flicked the throttle a bit and it came to life.
uncertain of the situation I pulled it in the pits and did a restart, engine will only throttle to around 50 percent then start sputtering like hell. Tried switching the throttle curves and it got a little better when I put idle and full on slow. But will still sputter…
we tried running the engine from a catch tank thinking it was fuel issues but it still sputtered. Checking GSU on idle it said 720 Celsius on idle, so probably it cuts out when spooling up because of temperature?
it was a little more windy and abit more humid today than last flight
is there anything I can do myself or should I try to get it down to jetcat?
ran perfect couple of days ago…
please help vacation just started 😂

Seems odd that it wouldn’t run in 20 Celsius with abit of humidity. Yea running Kero start.
We lifted the cap on the turbine, and there was bubbles in the fuel line after the pump. Might be an air leak?

Like you say, should cope with those conditions.
Air in the system would be an issue, did you look at the bubble counter your ECU should have.
Check and seal the line. Also check the last idle and full power pump voltages for a blockage. Idle should be 0,7-0.8v
