Southern California Sub Run
#55
I must admit my failure.....I did not post that there was a run Oct. 29th. I made it to this one and it was a great time. Once I download my photos, I will hopefully be able to post some shots from the run. The next run is in January, I believe. Hopefully I will keep this current.

2023 first run of the year!
Saturday, FEBRUARY 25th!
At the model boating pond (third pond to the right) of the YORBA REGIONAL PARK (7600 E. La Palma) 714-973-6615 or 714-973-6838; [email protected]) in Anaheim. It'll cost you $5 to get in the gate of the park (Unless they change prices).
People start showing up at 7am and we run until noonish. Well, some arrive at 7am, more arrive around 8am and some stragglers stay until 1pm.
Come out and visit! We would love to share our passion with you and answer your questions. There is a lot of talking and sharing and having a good time!

Our next full-squadron run will take place on April 29th—so mark those calendars. Also, more runs are likely in May and/or June (dates TBA). Finally, those who aren’t mid-summer traveling, please also plan to join us on July 15: currently the local chapter of the USSVI national submarine veterans organization is planning a picnic in our park that day, and it would be fun to put on an r/c sub demonstration for them.
Where? At the model boating pond (third pond to the right) of the YORBA REGIONAL PARK (7600 E. La Palma) 714-973-6615 or 714-973-6838; [email protected]) in Anaheim. It'll cost you $5 to get in the gate of the park (Unless they change prices).

There are 4 subs in this photo.
Some new faces and returning regulars. Mike Dory, one of the godfathers of this hobby made it and he ran his Alpha. It was incredible to see him again.
Look forward to the next meeting.

It was a perfect day. The temperature was just right. It has been awhile since I saw most of the guys there, catching up on life and sharing stories was what I spent most of my time doing. Hope you all can come out and watch, run, and see what this hobby is about.
