Tank mount goes behind the tube. It should also be glued to the wingtube sleeve for additional stiffness.

Vector rods need to be trimmed slightly. Degrease the threaded rods very well, then hysol them into the carbon tubes with an adhesive you really trust. If those pullout it's game over.

Carbon rods over the threaded rod just free float. They're provided to increase the stiffness of the threaded rods, so they can't buckle under extreme loads. Most critical for the flaps. There is a manual that is mostly pictures that you can get through your rep.

I am thinking to get a Diablo for 3d flying. For pilots who had flown 3d both gasoline plane and 3d jet, could you give me some ideas on how easy is to learn 3d flying on turbine jet vs gasoline plane? If you can hover a gasoline plane comfortably, how easy is it to do the same maneuver in Jet?

Once set up easier. But you must trim the vector pipe position before expecting the gyro the hold the hover.

Happy to report I had a very successful maiden day yesterday. It was extremely hot, but if I didn't fly it yesterday I would have had to wait another two weeks. I used the setup page for the most part for throws and rates. I'm right on at 9% nose wheel weight with the UAT full and main tank empty and it's just very slightly nose heavy which is perfect for me. This is a GREAT way to do CG, super simple and you don't need to measure anything really. The plane has an insanely locked in feeling in normal flight, shocking really how locked in it feels. I have the Kingtech 210 G5 in it and what an impressive engine. It's like you're flipping on a light switch and almost instantly it's running, ​​​​just so cool! Here's a couple pre-maiden pics... really looking forward to flying this plane a lot!

Few shots AP took of the thread starter last weekend at Elvington Jets. In just over a year of flying I have done nothing to the Diablo. All the equipment is the same, mainly charging Rx packs-JetCat take care of the ECU pack and Electron sip so little power I get more than one flying session out of a charge on the Retract Li-Po.
I’ve been helping customers who are not 3-D pilots set up the Diablo, it does not need very much elevator travel for normal flight programme-Take off, aerobatics, landing. 20mm movement is enough.

I’m at 9.0% nose weight. First time doing the CG this way but if your UAT is full and main tank empty and you have 9% of the total weight on the nose gear, it will fly very well. Just ever so slightly nose heavy..
