RE: Hornet micro heli???????
They alll fly on stock motor and battery... or else they would get SUE...
BUT... if u want to make ur life easy and fast learning.. i would recamend LiPo 2 or 3 cell....Trust me on this... the LIPO is 1/2 weight of the stock... so if improve ur flight time and power...

Just remember, the Hornet does need the Litho batteries.. but you really have to keep an eye on litho's.. they can be volitile... I had a customer bring in a picture of where is Hornet used to be. There was nothing left but two skids.. he overcharged the lithos. You can't leave them by themselves.

RE: Hornet micro heli???????
I'm looking to buy the Hornet II and just going to bite the bullet and get the brushless motor with Lipo's. I did stumble across a new Heli that is coming out either the end of this month or beginning of April. It's called the Zoom 400.
Does anyone know anything about this Heli. It seems real comparable to the Hornet but at a cheaper price. It is supposed to be 3D ready right out of the box. So now I have no idea which one to get.

RE: Hornet micro heli???????
I have a Hornet II and it is my second micro heli. I am using a Razor motor with 3 Lipos and it is GREAT. I am not up to aerobatics yet but it is certainly capable. I am very impressed with the quality of the kit. There is a lot of ball bearings, carbon fiber and replacement parts are available. My 2 cents
