Default Funtana or Vector Flight Edge/Extra help

I can not decide which one of these aircraft to buy. I have spent hours reading the numerous posts regarding the funtana and Vector Fight models. I know the Funtana has had A LOT of hipe, so I'm thinking of something different. The vectorflight models seem like such a deal. It's been said on here that the vector flight models are not 3D. I would think that if they were set up with max throws anything is possible. I have a new flight pack with 525mg's and a saito 91 still in the box ready to go. Some one please shed some light on this delema I'm having. My experience is quite broad. I'm pretty hard on planes and enjoy thrashing them. I think I'm the only one at the field that mows the grass inverted!

Best regards to all that reply,

Merle

Well, Ive got the VF Extra 60 and it is a true flying airplane, I love it. But the Funtana is more of a 3D plane. If you want a solid aerobatic plane, go with the edge, If you want a 3D fun fly type plane , get the Funtana, but be sure to replace the stock axles. Also, Vector Flight has awesome customer service. They emailed me to get feedback at least 2 times, and sent me a new tailwheel when they updated the old one.

I have to agree, VectorFlight all the way. I flew one to hell and back and its still in one piece!

I plan on the 66" version this summer for fun aerobatic flying. Saito 100 or a large YS

My old 58" version had a Saito 91 for unlimited performance

I second the Vector Flight!!!
They have a customer service dept. that cannot be beat.

I have two Vector Flight extras (58" and 66") and they fly great.

I agree with beavertail. I have a Funtana and just ordered a VF Extra. I emailed them prior to purchasing and asked how similar the Extra was to a Funtana. They stated the Funtana would be more 3D and not quite as smooth as an Extra.
