wont start anymore
well I just got done following the break in process and now the truck wont start anymore... I tried to let the fuel out for possible flooding, but no luck.. I followed all instrutinos still no luck. I have no idea what the problem is.. Im wondering if the roto start batt is dead? What are simptons of glow plug problems?

symptoms are........wont run. lol, seriously though, take the glow plug out and holding it in a pair of needle nose pliers( or your fingers if you have leather hands like me ) put it onto your glow igniter, it should glow up fast and bright, if not, theres your problem. ill bet thats it. i like the os #8 or that ever elusive mc coy mc 59

also, your roto starter takes a rechargable battery. and it would be dead if the engine wasnt turning over. also check to see if your glow starter is dead.

okay guys the engine will click and try to start for less than a second then the roto wont turn.. I take out glow plug, try to drain but nothing is there, no fuel will leak out. I have no idea what the deal is. I think I screwed something up. After break in I tried playing with the high speed needle and I forgot how many turns I put it at.. now I have no idea what it is at now.. Is there a way to put it back.. I mean how can I tell where it is? I asume that is my problem.

the roto battery may be low. charge it up and give it another try. also, the stock setting is like 3 1/2 turns out. turn it all the way in and then go 3 1/2 out.

RE: wont start anymore
I was running my 14th tank of fuel thru, it quit a few times on me. I thought this was odd, it seemed to be going lean. But no matter what adjustments I made it just wouldn't run right. Then it would not start at all. Thinking maybe I toasted the motor, I start to pull it apart...........cylinder head had come loose. Locktited the sucker in and will have another bash tommorow. Motor looked pristine inside.

yea, i had the cylinder head come loose once. they do alot sometimes if not locktighted down. just think, those screws take a ton of vibration since they are right on the engine.

because as you run them in to the block the threadlocker makes its way between the cylinder head and the block causing leaks and a situation if enough threadlocker is used for it to seep between the block and the cylinder sleeve to cause a real situation when it comes time for an overhaul as far as getting the sleeve out. and i never would have thought a little threadlocker would do all that but ive seen it.
