Dubro Pull-Pull
I'm installing a Dubro Heavy Duty Pull-Pull system and the crimp tubes supplied with the system seem way too small to pass the cable through the required 3 times that the instructions show. I'm having a hard time even getting the cable back into the crimp tube the second time! Frustrating. Has anyone else ran into this problem? At this point what should I use for tubing - copper tubing?
Thanks!
Thanks!

It's tough, but it can be done! I had to use needle nose pliars and arrange the cables cleanly in line in order to get all three strands thfough. If you can't do it, you may want to go to your fishing lure section of the sporting goods store and see what crimp tubes they have.

DP is right on the money. An added benefit of stripping the coating is that you can solder the assembly after crimping, if you prefer. A little over the top for most, but it does give you an extra margin of safety. The cables would no doubt break before the joint failed.

RE: Dubro Pull-Pull
I'm a pesimist when it comes to crimped cable ends. This comes from my flying CL models and having the Sullivan factory line ends slip the crimp any time I tried to trust them. It got to where i would immediately clip the ends and put my own on when I bought new lines. (too bad no one told me I could buy the wire by the 1000 ft spool back then... would have saved a bundle)
Definitely work at it to get that 3rd pass through the tube.
Not removing a plastic coating from steel wire that has it is asking for the wire to slip the crimp.
Better to have a little overkill on the cable end finishing than to have it come apart.

Use a larger tube! Brass tubing from the LHS comes in nice graduated sizes.
