Default Dream Ships? Post them!

Post your dream planes here, and why you'd like to see an ARF.
We've been talking about a Pilatus Porter in another thread. Also would help if people who KNOW there's already an ARF (or even kit) out there CHIME IN!

I'd like to see an ARF of the Lockheed Vega. This plane's got it's place in history as a transitional plane, having gone from the 'open cylinder' to NACA-cowel'd design. It's also just a pretty airplane. If one exitst please let me know!

I'd also like to see a Cessna 195 ARF. The radial engine made this airplane uniquely different from other cessna designs. I flew a full-scale with a 450HP upgraded engine in it. Quite spectacular. Still wouldn't do much over 130 but still a joy to fly. Buddy of mine used it to deliver appliances to people living in the bush in AK. Plus, you just gotta dig a radial-powered, tail-dragging high-wing.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I know they make kits for these but affordable ARFs would be great:
-Grumman Albatross, Widgeon, Mallard, or Goose
-P-38 arf similar to the Twinstar
-S-2 Tracker
-Bearcat/Wildcat
-B-25
-TBM Avenger
-Beech 18

All .40 to .60 size

Default Twin Warbird!!

I'm not a warbird flyer but I think me and a LOT of people would be in on an affordable P-38 in 40-60 size.

Ditto!!!

60 size p-38!! That would be wonderful.
Heck any warbird in 60 size.
H9 did a great job with the mustang. Allot of people like them including me. Maybe the their Mustang is the beginning of a arf warbird line, hopefully. That would be great as long as they were 60 size or larger.

I swear an ARF of the Reno racer "Rare Bear" would sell like crazy. Do they think P-51s are the only ones to compete?

Default I am going to Agree

Does X get the square? Oh wait this is not Hollywood Squares. I am going to have to step up and say yes for the P-38. I have been putting off building one of these for a few years now. Once the Hanger 9 stang came out I had to have one Now H9 needs a 38 for the stable with the same high Quality as the p-51. This time they need to do a Simple scheme that people can dress up themselves. I had to redo my Mustang so it did not match everyone elses. For the people that have seen mine they do not know it is a Hanger 9 everyone thinks I built it.

My vote is for the B-52 with eight electric fan units. Launch-able X-15 is optional.....How many cells did you say I needed????

Actually a 30-cell pac would do it. Hmm. Use 230 size motors on an all-foam \ competition balsa rig.... vacuum-bag with .2oz c.fiber... If you could keep the weight down it'd really move out. For about 3 mins. LOL. I rather think it'd be more practical to use 4 brushless motors with a single ducted fan, one for each engine 'pod'

Just some thoughts.

Default IF ONLY...............

If only someone would make a Bearcat of a Reno racer such as the Rare Bear!! Even a version of the Conquest 1 would be great. Other than the Bearcats, the P39 Airacobra, P63 Kingcobra, F2G Corsair or even the Hughes H1 racer would be awesome.

A .90-1.20 SCALE Corsair! Not the "stand-way-off-and-squint-scale" ARF Corsairs that are currently available.

Default How bout a big flying boat

Here is a link to one of my all time favorites, the Boeing 314 Clipper.....

http://www.boeing.com/companyoffices...t/C8O-314.html

I'd like to see an 80" WS ARF (Heck I'd even take a nice kit) Design it for electric power too.....As long as I'm shooting for the moon.....might as well go all the way!

Wait.....not so fast. I'd also love to have my very own copy of a Hall Bulldog. Even if it were offered in kit form, the thought of having to build THAT wing is intimidating.

I would like very much to build and complete the plans I have right now for the Douglas SBD-6 Dauntless . I'm not real sure what scale it is but the plans call for a 96" wing span.

I'm not sure if that day will ever come

Well since most of my favourite aircraft are already being made as arfs or kits (extra300s, cap231,232) i think i'll have to say i would like to see 1/4 scale arfs of these 2 vintage beauties..

Howard DGA-11
Howard DGA-6 Mister Mulligan

and also...

Cap 10 1/4 scale
Extra 200 1/4 scale

Well it's not a scale type as most wish for in this thread but I would love to see Hangar 9 or Great Planes release a decent sized Artistic Aerobatic type ARF. Something along the lines of the Seduction Freestyle or Quique's PL Prod Excellence, and between the two in size.

Maybe 65 inch span, 120 4 stroke range, 800-900 squares - swept LE pattern type wing, airfoiled tail surfaces, 6-7lbs weight, fixed gear, tail mounting for the servos from the box to minimize extra balance weight, and of course huge double beveled control surfaces all around. Give it a cool trim scheme, price it around $200-250 and I would buy two.

Quique's plane. I agree. 60 to 62 inch span. 700 squares. Huge airfoil tail. 7.5 pounds with a 91 2 or 4 stroke. An R\C Nobler that looks like a 52 Nobler the way George Aldrich designed it!!! An F2G Super Corsair. Racer 57!!! 40 or 60 V35B Bonanza. Oh yeah... an Osprey!!!

Twin warbird, but not P-38...

P-61 Blackwidow would be unique as much as it is sexy. I would buy an IMAA size in a minute.

Default SOmething not so ordinary....

like a 100 inch ws JU-52-3m (german Trimotor) or a Ford Trimotor, or maybe even a good .60 -.90 size ME-109 to combat some of these darn P-51's that are around every corner....;-)

What about a 'jug (P-47)? I also wouldn't mind seeing a nice twin mustang... maybe some of the naval planes like a SBD or TBM?

I'd be all-up for a Kitfox ARF. Be cool to have one if you also had a kitfox. Of course, this'd have some of the IMAA guys thinking "If I just scale it a little more my kid can fly -IN- it!... now... about disassembling this snowmobile to get the engine out... "

I also think a beech starship would be the cat's meow.

My fav, though is still the Grumman Goose, though in the Civil Aviation side (yeah, there was a mil variant). As a kid in SE Alaska I got to fly around in one from time to time with my uncle. Lotta good memories there.

I am not a warbird freak.. But I have to admit a P38 and an AirCobra would be kickass..
Civilian line up.. How about a 70" Mooney <or bigger, YES!>...
Piper Commanche,, with being offered as a single or a twin..
Something really different would be a Funk...
