Default INCIDENCE PROBLEM ON COMP 2.6 EXTRA

Does anybody have any thoughts on incidence problems on comp arf 2.6 extras..............my one seems off in that it is VERY tought to get both wings to fit the fuz.........I have to pull hard on one wing to get the aluminum anti rotation pins to line up with the holes in the fuz?

Anybody have any thoughts?

Please help kindest regards IanB

They can some times be a little hard to get on, but I have not had problems with the incidence. When mounting your wings, only mount the first one loosely, then slide the other wing on, and then tighten down the four nylon bolts.

Should I trust the incidence as set by the fuz holes?.................when i clamp the two wing spars together flat one against the other there is a definite mismatch in incidence from one wing to the other so it is very worrying. Very disappointing in a plane from metal moulds...........................anybody ?

I would check the incidence on any plane that you want to fly well, ARF or not. If wrong, fix it.

Once you install the wings on the fuse and tighten the nuts securely the incidence should be the same on both panels.

Ian, Like figueroa stated. Once you put the screw nuts on the "aluminum anti rotation pins" that is what sets the incidence. It doesn't hurt to check all incidences for you own personal satisfaction either.

No-one else had any problems then with comp arf wings not fitting to well?

Has anyone had any trim issue problems with trim on such an aeroplane if their wings didnt fit too well like mine?

I have had 2 comp-arf 2.6s and they both trimmed out perfectly. The wings fit tight at first but they will loosen in time, mine took about 20 flights before they loosened up. I have not heard of any one having a problem with the incidence on any 2.6.

I would put an incidence meter on it. That is the only way to tell. Who's to say the spars are totally straight? They should float anyway and don't have to be straight, just strong. Put an incidence meter on it and let us know what you find. I bet you'll find the wings are dead nuts.
