T Rex tail rotor setup question
I am not new to heli flying since I did it back in the 80’s but after taking off over 15 years I am back into it with a T Rex. I purchased a Futaba GY401 Gyro and now trying to get it dialed in. What I am experiencing is that when I increase the throttle the tail boom swings around but once I get it back pointing in the correct direction it hovers fine with a little drift. I am using a 9C radio and was wondering if I don’t have something not setup correctly. Can anyone give me some pointers?

RE: T Rex tail rotor setup question
I use a JR 490T and am using the Tx to control gain. The book says to increase travel on your rudder servo to 150% in both directions, and turn the gain adjustment on the Gyro itself to maximum. Then turn down the travel on your gear (gyro) channel until any tail wagging disappears. Then sub trim your tail to get it so its not drifting. If you are running in rate mode instead of heading hold (not sure if the 401 is a HH model) then add a bit of revo mix to remove any throttle induced drift. (I run about 2% to the right)
