I am looking for an Extra 300 ARF that would use a 50cc gas engine, probably a DA 50.
I have looked into many different manufactures but I'm trying to get some suggestions from people that have them.

Any tips you have would be helpful.

Yes i would suggest the da 50. It's a very good engine. But it's a bit expensive the zenoah g-62 would work around the same amount of power of the da 50 since of the small increase of CC's. If you have enough money to get the da 50 stick with that one, and if you can't afford too much stick with the g-62. My opinion.

Try Wild Hare. They're flexible enough to fly great on both engines and are designed as an entry level gasser. Plus, there's a support forum here on RCUniverse. Tom is usually quick to respond but may not be this week since he's moving into a new house.

Wild hare gets my vote! Will take any of the 50cc engines and you cant beat the customer service!
