Vought V173 XF5U markings?
Does anybody know if there are plans or 3views for the Vought V173 "flying flapjack". This is one of my MUST model planes and would make a great electric plane.

RE: Vought V173 plans?
Thanks TLH101!
Does anyone have any information on the prototype XF5U-1, especially any scaly markings. Since it was a fairly well kept secret, there probably any pictures.

At one time I found a video of the V173, but it didn't come up this time.

RE: Vought V173 plans?
Thanks WilliamRobison.
Since the pictures are in black and white, does anyone know what the color scheme was on the XF5U? Also, was the XF5U part jet. This is the first I've seen of it and don't know what those jet looking things are on the front. Any info would be very appreciated.

Woops:
The XF5SU-1 had twin radial engines, the "Jet looking" things were the cooling air intakes. There were large fans just inside to blow air over the engine cylinders.
One of the referenced sites has mechanical breakdown and structural breakdown drawings - you can see the engines, fans, drive shafts and priopellor gearboxes there.
