Carbon Tube w/ Fiberglass socket?

Is this OK or will the fiberglass mill into the tube and cause a failure?

Also... random... what's best to use on covering to keep it glistening... Pledge, carwax, something else??? Gotta keep the bling goin'.

There shouldn't be any problems I have done them in the past and they work OK.

I use monokote polish........put it on and buff it off......brings the shine back
