Man, if you are looking to bash your truck dont go aluminum. Once it bends you're screwed. Go RPM, they are plastic but you can bash em all you want. I have them on my T-Maxx and I can try to break em all I want and it just doesn't happen.
T-Maxx Sec. Gen. RPM Arms, Hurricane Alum. Tank, RRP Spur gear and 19 Tooth Clutch Bell, Upgraded Steering(Forget What Kind), High Torque Servos.

I am new to this forrum but a rc veteran. T-Max heavily modded and a new Revo are my rides.
I wanted to make whealies at one point, I replaced my 2.5 with a Siro .23 along with replacing every part with an RPM part.
The only metal components beside my engine is the main frame, titanium drive shafts, and a tubilar stainless steel full roll cage. The RPM parts are more stronger and a little lighter than OEM parts. This made up for the added weight of the roll cage. There are a couple of home made mods I have done too. I don't know if has any effect, but I made a home made ram air intake system through the windshield. I used an air breather K&N cone filter. The next mod that I'm still tinkering with is a CO2 cooling system, when is works, it sprays CO2 on the cooling head of the engine. It took me a while to come up with a mounting bracket and and actuator assembly to make it work. When it works, I can tell alot of difference w/ performance and cooling. I built this to prevent overheating due to my previous 2.5 engine. The CO2 canister is ones that are made for pellet guns.
