Default muscle car

What's the best combination of gas, nitro, or diesel engine and chassis for the highest power-to-weight ratio, and with decent traction? I mean, what's the BEST IC engine/car combination for a MUSCLE CAR? [8D]

the best combo is the brushless engine that would basically roast any of the above mentioned engines.

Yes a good brushless system would roast the obove ideas. Even with a sphere/neo combo.

I have moved this to the general car discussion forum, it wouldn't have fared too well in the E-car forum

To answer your question - I would say a nice small block in a minimalistic funny car/dragster chassis. Power-weight probably doesn't get any better than that.

Ah, sorry, I don't know how I got into the e-car forum! I just want to see some muscle cars done... and I don't see any []

It was moved by the mods. It WAS in the electric forum...

Anyway, i'd suggest a smallblock (.12) nitro engine in a electric pan car would have the best power/weight ratio. There was a guy on this forum a while ago who made one, and it was NICE! The chassis weighed next to nothing and with proper gearing the car could easily hit 60mph.

maybe one of those dark thunder dragsters by megatech. They go 60 in 2 seconds (according to megatech; yeah right) with a 1.6 CC engine imagine what it could do with a huge engine in it!!!! Althought the videos of it in action didn't show anything over 40mph.

I think I might do the pan car thing. If you look at the megatech dragsters, you will see that they are just the rear half of a touring chassis with dragster front suspensions. CRAP! and I was thinking like a 4-5cc engine.. hmm. Just as long as it has the MOST power possible!

1/8 onroad will do 0-60 much faster than the megatech dragsters. I am just lookin for something that handles ok but is still a powerful car.. dragsters are not for making turns.
