is my clutch in my T maxx toast
Ok I just bought a used T Maxx, with a little tuning I got it to run, it runs great, the steering is a little more responsive then my Revo making it hard to steer, and now it will not move, almost like it's in Neutral.I can relate to my Revo since it's been apart several times, but the T Maxx is new to me, so with a little info on how to fix, thinking new clutch, or maybe it's an adjustment would be appreciated.....

RE: is my clutch in my T maxx toast
that happened to me...if you have the same problem as me, when you change it to reverse look at the lever that pulls it to reverse, now switch it back and see if it gets stuck...if it does theres you problem.....if not then tighten your slipper clutch (located in the front of ur spur gear) and if that dont work than lean out ur engine....because the gears in your transmission arent supposed to move right away, they need a little rpm to make them move...hopefully this helps you....

RE: is my clutch in my T maxx toast
make sure that it has the slipper pegs in it too. i git mine used and the ding dong didn't put the slipper pegs back into it. it did move though it was just really jumpy, he had put the hardened spur gear on it which was a good upgrade but he didn't upgrade the clutchbell, so i had buy one of thode too, oh yeah the clutch shoes were toast too, put a set of MIP ones on it and after i got it all together then i could really start messing with it. like tuning and adjusting the trans and all that kinda stuff, i mean it would run ok but it was stupid as far as jumping, my buddies jump a touch if it is idleing too high, but not like mine was doing. anyhow i don't have the thing anymore so no more worries with it. oh if you put the hardened spur gear on it and don't change the cb it will tear your trx cb up. trust me on this one it will after a few tanks you'll see little metal flakes all over everything. oh yeah make sure that your reverse servo is engaging reverse all the way and it's not getting hung while trying to go into reverse. mine did this too, it's like it's running awesome and then all of a sudden you hammer down on it and nothing, it revs way up of course but it doesn't move. thats something to do with the reverse servo and the related linkage. my best advice on this is, get rid of reverse all together, no more problems, reverse is hardly used anyway, besides that it frees up power. and it makes your maxx lighter. and if you got the money i would get the mentioned hardened cb and spur, but also the tranny gears hardened steele too.
RR makes 1. spur gear
2. clutchbell
3. tranny gears
4. upgraded slipper clutch kit, with hardened spur gear
5. upgraded brakes, which i think is a must!!!
6. GOOD IDEA IF USING THE BIG BLOCK
