Which F-16 is it? They made two version at one time one scale and the other sport . Both flew okay in fan but the sport was a lighter airplane. Also make sure you put in the extra openings for the inlet greatly reduces take off roll and good luck.

Still a great flying plane just watch the weight and take your time on the doors they are a little tedious but nice when finished.

Im working on one right now, which I've flown a couple of times. Mine has a Ramtec/OS .91/Weston pipe. It flies great but it takes a looooot of runway.

Keep it light and use the cockpit for static display only, remove it before flight. Keep that ******* as light as possible and you will have a blast!

it looks really good in the air.

Funflyer, How did you modify the inlet for your RAM? Are you using the DF inlet with no mods?

Thanks in advance!

Hey Dave, I cut the df inlet in half and put a piece of wood over the top so that it is flat.

Ok, old design, hard to see, takes forever to get up, old technology, oily mess, glow plugs, wand, slow, noisy, vibration, 1 to 4 ratio, 1 flight 4 repairs.....etc. Just my 2 cents worth.
P.S Yellow sucks anyway.
So are you complaining about DF technology or Yellow?

1. Not sure why you would complain about Yellow. I've seen most F-16 kits, Yellow is deffinetely up there. You must have not seen the Epoxy-carbon version. Makes any Tams, Cermark, Skymaster, and even BVM look like toys. The only other F-16 I've seen that is also really good is the Avonds, probably the only other one I would buy/fly.

2. If you are complaining about DF's, just get a turbine and all of your problems will go away, like it happened with 75% of DF pilots. That's why many will not ever get passed the twin-boom stage. Typically most of the "good" turbine pilots I've met were even better at DF and mastered the "old technology". I see them locally tearing up the sky with F-4's, Bandits, yes and even Bobcats.

I woulnd't discourage anyone from trying Ducted Fan. It is cheap and contrary to what most pilots think, it is reliable. Sorry for all you former Rossi, Pico, and K&B owners. But we did learn from your mistakes.

There is nothing wrong with the Yellow F-16. It's a great flying jet. Sure there are a lot of advantages to turbines, I also fly them. My DF F-16 has 296 flights on it. If you know what you are doing you can be sucessfull with DF.

David I am not complaining about anything I have a turbine powered jet. Your # 1 statement is actually backwards I will edit it for you so the facts are stated correctly.

1. I see why you would complain about Yellow. I've seen most F-16 kits, Tams, Cermark, Skymaster, and even BVM are above standards when comparing them to Yellow. You must have not seen the quality and size. Makes Yellow look like a toy. The only other F-16 I've seen that is also really good is the Combat models F-16 which is probably the only other one I would buy/fly other than Yellow.

Thats the way it sould have been written.
Doing that was sooooooo stupid on your behalf. Keep that level of arrogance, it scores great with the judges.

See you at Top Gun.
