New turbine engine.
Ariel royal blue
Hi everyone, Rob Rowbotham, TJT/Artes Jets UK..... just a brief introduction....I have spent the past year flying around the UK show circuit the TJT 3000/Artes Jets JG100 or as it is known in the the US the JMP 3000. See very extensive test in RCJI a couple of issues back.I was the first in the UK to fly this new engine and have around 30 flying hours on it so far without a single flameout or failure. The engine has also had a very hard life testing the FADEC autostart system that is offered with it over here. Previous to this I had made, built and flown five KJ66 homebuilt engines, so it was nice to have a commercial kit and be able to simply assemble the engine before flying it. Having also flown with all the other popular types of turbine engine I have to say you will find the noise or lack of it from this engine is quite unique, I would probably put it down to the bearing preload system and precision rotor balance which as far as I know is unique. There are many other technical innovations within the engine and it would be easy for me to list them ad nausium. All I can say is get along to your next big jet event which I think may be Florida Jets to see it fly and you can judge for yourselves.
Hoping to get over later in the year for the Superman event to fly. In the meantime if you have any questions at all please feel free to ask.
Regards to all, Rob Rowbotham.
