Default 40 bucks to spend on Christmas Savage

I got 40 dollars to spend on my new savage x that i am getting on Christmas morning. What should I buy, all i have is the rtr, roto start battery w/ charger, fuel, bottle, igniter, extra plugs, and some other stuff that came with a starter box at my LHS.
I was thimking tools, or a reciever pack, but i think tools would be more useful. By the way, this is my first nitro car.
Thanks-

If I was you I would get something like a reciever pack, Motor Saver air filter, aluminum clutch shoes, or a tuned pipe for it.

6V hump pack for starters. Will save you a lot of AA's and money in the long run.
Also, some good rechargable AA's for the transmitter.

Then, pipe would be good, followed by aluminum clutch shoes, will save your spur gears.

I would spend it on tools. How would you put all of these hop ups on without tools?

Yeah i have to agree with chrobar, as nice as it would be to upgrade it, its working fine for now. Get some good quality tools, i know 40$ wont go far but you can get the basics for now. In the long run you might want to consider a dremel and a small air compressor, working on my trucks got allot faster and easier after i got those. One thing you could get now thats a big help IMO is a small electric screwdriver and get some hex screwdriver bits to go with it, make sure its small enough that you can throw it in your tool bag and bring with you for repairs on the field.

6V hump pack
OFNA Micro Fail-safe.

No point upgrading a truck if it runs away and kills all your upgrades. You never know when a bettery will slip out, won't be charged, or you'll get radio interference. They may not be fun upgrades, but wrecking your nice truck with new upgrades isn't fun either.
