RE: Nob question please help me out.
first your a noob not a nob check your title hahahahaha Sorry
most 27mhz and 40mhz receivers are the same if they have no transmitter input they could be picking up interference from anywhere probably something electrical nearby TV ect if its ok when the transmitter is on i wouldnt worry about it.
you should always turn the transmiter on first and off last

Good Advice. Otherwise, you could end up with a runaway.

RE: Nob question please help me out.
i usually turn the TX of first, that way if it decides to go WOT i can turn the TX back on and have control over my truck, whereas if u turn the RX of first u cant really get to a WOT RX battery switch tearing across the oval lol. I usually turn my radio of while tuning to save power

RE: Nob question please help me out.
Don't turn your Tx off first ever. Your car will never take off at WOT throttle if you shut the rx off first. What moves the servos when the rx is off? Nothing because it is not getting power so it is impossible to move the carb open. Please save yourself some money and your car by always turning the Tx on first and shutting it off last.
