Tranny Problems
I have been having a reoccuring problem with my tranny. The screw/pin thing that holds the 1-2 shifting clutch on the shaft keeps backing out so the head of the screw hits the gear and keeps the truck from rolling backwards freely. I have a 3 speed if that makes a difference, and yes, I put a ton of loctite on it. I doubt this is a common problem, but I'm tempted to just use red loctite and see if that works. The first time it happened, the screw head backed out completely and sheared itself off leaving the pin stuck in the shaft. Its happened two other times but I just reapplied loctite and screwed them back in My 2-3 clutch is fine as far as the screw backing out, but I have never been able to get my truck to shift into 3rd. I am like 7 or 8 turns out and it's still not shifting. Is that normal as far as the number of turns out? I need some solutions to the screw problem though. Thanks.

RE: Tranny Problems
You might need to take your tranny apart use degreaser on the part with the nut put it all back together and then locktite it. After you locktite it leave it for 24 hours. Locktite doesnt stick well to greasy or oily parts which could be why your screw keeps coming out.
