Default Sikk Engine Question

After reading some of the post on the sikk 25 engine and a few of the problems it had............... I was wondering if they had been solved........And if not which ones remain............Also how much faster is a stock sikk than a stock zenoah.

Default RE: Sikk Engine Question

there were three problems with the new Sikk engine to start with ... the exhaust port was made too wide ..... fixed now. the cylinder plating was cheezy...... fixed now, and i would recomend replacing the stock cylinder base gasket with an .005" copper, the gasket they ship with the engine tends to blow out then the cylinder will rock on the bolts and might break the bolt lug off the jug. the stock sikk marine engine comes somewhat modded and is a bit faster than a stock 260

Thanks........I already orderd one of these engines to try....... It will give me something to use if I send my stock zen to be modded........should be here in the next day or two.....I see where you can also use tyvek or regular car gasket paper to fix it.................. I will try that first cause I don't have to order it..............If it don't work I will order the copper.
