Default Flying Tricks?

Anyone ever tried to fly upside down or on it side? Is it possible? Somewhere I saw in the internet some guy flew his helicopter upside down and I thought if that is possible with DF. I am not a skill DF pilot, but like to know from those who have alot of experiences.

The DF will Not fly inverted.. you need a Collective Pitch to do that the DF is fixed pitch. I've been flying heli's for about 6 years and fly inverted and many other 3D maneuvers with some of my other (conventional) heli's. The DF is designed as a stable platform and is not capable of those kind of maneuvers. I have the SAVS and it can be a fun sport flyer with the TI off and some Expo dialed into the radio....But a 3D heli...it is not.

Hey Lacey - Being a seasoned RC helicopter pilot, have you tried (or is it possible) to make the DF do a roll(loop) or do the gyros take over and Wreck it all?

It will roll(with TI off)...but I just use one of my CP heli's when I want to get crazy..The DF is very stable but with FP there is not to much you can do with it in the way of 3d....But it is a fun and relaxing sport flyer.....I always take it with me to the field and wind down from a day of craziness with it.

Acrobatic flight with a FP-Quadrocopter? Sure, that's possible :-)

I guess the DF is also able to fly loops. Has anyone tried it yet?

I wonder what would happen if you pulled back hard on the cyclic and cut the throttle at the same time. Maybe momentum would cause the df to do a back flip. Then when you hit the throttle it would right itself again. Maybe I'll try it this weekend and see what happens.

I think Mike from Spectrolutions said he looped one....FP can't fly inverted ....the most you could do is a loop or a roll....But like I said before if I want do tricks or flight 3d I just use one of my CP helicopters...

Jast I watched the videos to...your X-3D is impressive...I still waiting for a english site to order from,(and prices for the BL version) and the new main board.
Will we be able to use 2.4 ghz TX's or at least 72 mhz? ... And when will the board be released? You can't even buy a UFO any more or get parts here...They are off the market...
Thanks Jast ...you guys are doing Great work with the Quard.
Happy Flyin,
Lacey

Hey laceycopter,

I saved this link when I was digging around last week, this company is still selling them in the US. I don't know anything of the company just that they advertise here on RCU.

Thanks Fesfly,
I got 1 from them awhile back...it's a good company just needed the main board from it.
They are still on the site...but they don't have them anymore.
I'll just wait and see what Jast comes up with.

Hi!

The english site will be online soon. We started with the beta test this week and hopefully get enough bug reports in the next 2-3 weeks to finalize the hardware design. The brushless components will be available earliest in April. All of us are away in March completely, that makes releasing a product not really simple ;-) The X-CSM and the new X-Base Mainboard will be hopefully available some weeks earlier.

72Mhz is supported. Either by a serial PPM signal or by the new very good ACT 72Mhz recievers which will be available mid 2007. We are also working on supporting 2.4Ghz but this will be s.th. that we will enable by a software upgrade sometime.

Regards

Jast

Hi laceycopter,
[link=http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2324352&cp]Toys-R-Us[/link] has it in stock as well as [link=http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=x-ufo+silverlit&btnG=Search+Froogle&lmode=online&sa= N&start=0]other sites[/link]. Apparently, Silverlit US still says they are in production.
