Default new used tmaxx

Hey guys, I got a new to me, but used tmaxx 25.

I put it all back to the stock motor settings and it runs, but has very little power. If I set it up so it has decent top end (no bogging) then the bottom and is so fat it's horrible.. If I make it so the bottom end it good then it dies out on top end.

I'm picking up a new gas tank and all new hose today to see if there is a leak in that. but I'm not sure what is going on. Any ideas?

How, exactly, are you setting it up? What needles are you turning, how and when?
To me it does not sound like a leak, it sounds like a tuning issue so if you could tell us what you're doing it may help us figure out what's up.

I'm just setting the needles both high and low back to stock. 4 turns on the High, flush on the low. If I leave it like that it will run, but very boggy and at Wide open it will just die out, like it runs out of fuel.
If I richen it up to make it run at WOT then the bottom is boggy. I mean it will barley turn the tires. then once it starts moving and shifts gears it's gone. It's very wierd. I haven't had an engine act like this before. Hopefully it's just something I"m doing!

Well, factory settings are extremely rich to begin with. If you're richening even further then, yeah, it's gonna run like crap. You reset to factory then lean (clockwise) the hsn 1/8 turn at a time, running between changes, and watch for smoke and watch and listen for performance. Keep doing that untill there is no performance increase then richen (counter clockwise) 1/8 turn. Then tune the lsn the same way only you turn the lsn in 1/16 turn increments and you're watching for low end (take off) preformance. Back the lsn off 1/16 turn once there is no performance increase. Then check and adjust the idle - if needed.

If you need more tuning help look here:

and these videos here (they are done on a Savage but tuning a nitro engine does not really depend much on size or brand:
